I luckily have a laptop with a wireless connection and a fully charged battery! The house is dark and quiet. All I can hear is the sound of snow blowers outside. It's a snow day for my son. I was thinking about this idea of electricity the other night and how much of our societies sense of order depends on it. Think of the lawlessness and chaos that broke out with hurricane Katrina when they lost power. If the terrorists really wanted to cripple us as a nation they would target our electrical grid. We are SO dependent on electricity. I wonder if our ancestors felt this sense of isolation and uncertainty?
